Funds Needed for Vax Safety Studies

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 10:30 AM

Center for Personal Rights (CPR) strongly supports urgent funding for evidence-based vaccine safety science. These studies should be funded by the government but conducted by independent researchers who have no stake in a particular outcome. The studies cannot be conducted by agencies that promote vaccination and have a mission to ensure public confidence in vaccines.

The government's failure to fund the basic scientific studies of these medical prod...

Vax Safety in Doubt

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 10:25 AM

New research raising grave concerns about vaccine safety continues to accumulate. Direct evidence of a potential association between vaccine exposure and ASD prevalence is reported in the Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry by Tomljenovic and Shaw (2011).

. . .

According to the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Netword (ADDM), autism incidence in New Jersey is an astonishing 1 in 49 children (and 1 in 29 boys)...

Mandatory Vax Is Immoral and Unethical

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 10:25 AM

Mandatory vaccination policies are a violation of medical ethics and human rights. Mandatory vaccination policies violate fundamental moral principles, and they have a profound and deleterious effect on medical practice and the relationship between patient and physician.

Infant Mortality

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM

If vaccines have greatly improved the health of America's children, then it is fair to ask why the United States' ranking among world nations in infant mortality has plummeted from twelfth in 1960 to 29th in 1990, down to 46th in 2010. The CDC acknowledges, "The US infant mortality rate is higher than those in most other developed countries, and the gap between the US infant mortality rate and the rates for the countries with the lowest infant mortality appears to be widening"....

Conflicts of Interest

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM

US medicine is dominated by corporate interests – physicians, academic institutions, and government agencies – whose financial interests are intertwined with drug and vaccine manufacturers. Physicians, professional associations, medical institutions, and government agencies are collaborating partners in the business of medicine. The practice of medicine, medical research, and medical information dissemination channels are imbued with the utilitarian business ethics ...

Untested

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM

It is indisputable that the vaccination schedule has never been tested for safety in its entirety, or in the way that it is administered. In other words, while the government reviews, licenses and compels individual vaccines, it does not test – or require vaccine makers to test – the safety and efficacy of vaccines given simultaneously or the cumulative effects of multiple vaccines.

Double Standard

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:55 AM

Using that FDA commissioner's [David Kessler] own estimate, there have been 35.2 million adverse reactions since the inception of VAERS in 1990, the vast majority of which were never acknowledged by doctors or public health officials. Regulators pull drugs such as Vioxx, Rezulin, and Lotronex from the market after a few hundred or one thousand adverse reaction reports. Yet vaccines remain on the market, with hundreds of thousands of adverse reaction reports. The double standard...

Doing the Three-Step

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:55 AM

Vaccines affect you and your children through a three-step process:

1. Licensure: the FDA says the vaccine is safe and effective;

2. Recommendation: the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) places the vaccine on the US recommended vaccination schedule;

3. Compulsion: state health departments mandate vaccines for day care and public school admission. Federal funding and the r...

You Have the Right to Remain Vaxless

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:55 AM

We must preserve the right to opt out of compulsory vaccination requirements for our children and ourselves. Infectious disease specialists use the term "refuser" pejoratively to cast aspersions on those who are intelligent, informed, and strong willed enough to "refuse" the corporate and governmental assault on our families' bodies with their ineffective, unsafe, and toxic vaccines.

Health officials and drug companies intend to abolish that right of...

Revolving Door

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:50 AM

Key officials involved in the [vaccine] decisions rotate through a revolving door into private industry. These conflicts are both extraordinary in scope and poorly understood by the general public, but they are central to understanding why unsafe and unnecessary vaccines are approved and recommended – why we have a vaccine epidemic.

NIH: For Profit

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:50 AM

As the world's largest single sponsor of biological research, NIH frequently funds research with commercially valuable outcomes. When that R&D generates potentially valuable inventions, NIH submits patent applications to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and actively pursues the approval of those patents, which when granted become valuable commercial property for HHS, the patents' owner. Since NIH has neither the authority nor the capability to pursue product comme...

HCWs Reject Flu Vax

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:45 AM

The CDC states: "The single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year", and it recommends that everyone six months and older should get vaccinated.

Based on these strong federal recommendations, you would think that HCW would be among the most eager to get the flu vaccine. But you would be wrong. According to the HHS, the rate of vaccination against the seasonal flu among HCWs in 2008 was 45%. Twenty-one studies from nine cou...

The Cochrane Collaboration

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:45 AM

In sharp contrast to government sources, The Cochrane Collaboration (CC), a highly respected, independent research institute, has carefully analyzed influenza vaccine studies. CC does not accept funding from the pharmaceutical industry. The CC review on flu vaccines states.

"We conclude that there is no evidence that only vaccinating healthcare workers prevents laboratory-proven influenza, pneumonia, and death from pneumonia in elderly residents in l...

Influenza-Like Illnesses

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:40 AM

One of the key questions in the real world is what percentage of influenza-like illnesses (ILI) are caused by the flu virus? There are more than 200 viruses that can cause flu or flu-like illnesses, all of which produce identical or very similar symptoms. Only laboratory testing of nasal or nasal-pharyngeal swabs can indicate if an ILI is actually flu. Although people often casually report most ILIs as the flu, testing is not routine in most cases.

A...

Flu Vax Crapshoot

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:40 AM

Predicting the correct strain or strains of influenza against which to vaccinate presents an enormous challenge for public health authorities and vaccine manufacturers. Flu vaccines aim to be effective against influenza A and B, but these strains comprise only about 10 percent of all circulating viral strains that cause ILI. Furthermore, the flu virus mutates from year to year, so predicting the exact serotype can be elusive. The actual risk that any ILI is actually the flu is ...

About Antibodies

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:40 AM

Recent research in the journal Immunity may lead to a new understanding of the best way to help protect people against potentially lethal viruses. Ulrich H Von Andrian, MD, PhD, of Harvard Medical School, showed that mice that survived intentional, potentially fatal viral infections did not always mount high levels of antibodies and that the innate non-memory immune system can effectively fight certain viruses without the presence of any antibodies. This turns convention...

Flu Vaccines are Unsafe

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:35 AM

Flu vaccines pose many safety issues. Concerns include manufacturing practices and oversight, bacterial contamination, vaccine adjuvants, and the accuracy of vaccine efficacy claims.

Unavoidably Unsafe

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:35 AM

While the federal government goes to great lengths to characterize flu vaccines as safe and effective, all vaccines, including the flu vaccine, are legally classified as "unavoidably unsafe". During the past three years, the vaccine maker Baxter has had two recalls of its flu vaccines. In 2009, the batch of Baxter's seasonal influenza vaccine that it sent to the Czech Republic was contaminated with the deadly H5N1 avian flu virus. The company recalled the vaccines after all lab...

Dangers of Flu Vaccine

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:35 AM

Many recipients of the flu vaccine have suffered serious adverse events. In 1976, the US public was first alerted to the risk of Guillian-Barre and death after the CDC's massive swine flu vaccine campaign. Of the 40 million Americans who received the vaccine, at least 4000 recipients of that vaccine suffered serious adverse events, including Guillain-Barre. Many vaccine recipients were hospitalized, some were permanently handicapped, and as many as 300 died. The cost to the tax...

Drugs and Government

Posted on November 5, 2017 at 9:30 AM

Drug companies spend nearly twice as much on marketing and promotion as on research and development, and this includes almost $5 billion a year in direct-to-consumer advertising.

Big Pharma spends nearly $250 million a year on lobbying expenses, is a top campaign contributor, and has notoriously close and compromising financial ties to the FDA, the agency tasked with monitoring drug approvals and safety. This industry is also in cahoots with governme...
